Pancheros honors outstanding franchisees, partners

Pancheros has announced this year's recipients of the its annual internal awards. Vendor of the Year, General Manager of the Year and Franchisee of the Year were among the awards given, recognizing exceptional results throughout fiscal year 2013 that helped Pancheros meet and exceed company-wide business, customer satisfaction and financial growth goals, according to a company press release.

"As a growing franchise operation, we at Pancheros rely on the dedication and support of our franchisees, managers and vendors. While we are lucky to have countless talented employees and partners in all aspects of our business, the winners this year all put forth incredible effort that truly helped the company realize unprecedented success in 2013," said Rodney Anderson, president of Pancheros Mexican Grill. "The recipients this year hail from where we first planted roots in Iowa, to new and important key markets like New Jersey, all helping Pancheros reinforce both its commitment to its foundation and further expansion."

Business partners Mike Yurcho and Jim Kolzow, a finance analyst and Air Force pilot, respectively, were recognized with the Franchisee of the Year Award. The pair is committed to successfully running their current operation in Voorhees, N.J., and is looking to expand to a second location in the next year, according to the release.

"My wife actually introduced me to Pancheros food, citing it as the best Mexican she'd ever tasted," Yurcho said. "Since then, Jim and I have been working with our devoted restaurant manager, Pat Lyons, to ensure all of our customers enjoy every bite and truly experience what made us fall in love with the brand."

Stacy Garringer, general manager of Pancheros in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, has been chosen as the General Manager of the Year due to her restaurant's exceptional financial performance, according to the release. Counting her employee relations, customer relations and financial acumen as key facets to her success, Garringer operated the fastest-growing restaurant in terms of sales in the entire Pancheros organization for 2013.

Vendor of the Year recipient Retail Data Systems first began its relationship with Pancheros 21 years ago as its IT Consultancy firm. RDS was awarded for a brand-focused team of help desk support staff and nationwide service technicians that maintained the technology tools utilized by each franchisee, helping Pancheros restaurants across the country reach operational efficiency and reduce costs, according to the release.
