Noodles & Company has capitalized on the popularity of its noodle dishes with the rollout of several customer favorites as sandwiches. The offering is now available in more than 230 restaurants in the U.S. and includes four varieties of sandwiches:
• The Mmmeatball was inspired by spaghetti & meatballs and includes five large meatballs, spicy marinara sauce and Parmesan cheese on a ciabatta roll.
• The Wisconsin Cheesesteak is tied to the best-selling Wisconsin Mac & Cheese and includes sautéed beef, mac & cheese sauce, cheddar jack cheese and sautéed red onion, red bell pepper and mushrooms on flatbread.
• The Med was born from The Med salad and includes chicken, mushrooms, spinach, red bell pepper, cucumber, red onion, Zippy Med dressing, cilantro and feta wrapped in flatbread. The Veggie Med is similar to The Med sandwich, but is served vegetarian.
• The Spicy Chicken Caesar is similar to the classic Caesar salad but with a kick. It features romaine lettuce, grilled chicken, parmesan cheese, tortilla strips and a spicy Caesar dressing on flatbread.
Each sandwich comes as a "Duo," which includes a side soup or salad. They range in price from $5.75 to $6.95.
“We knew there was something to the idea, because our restaurant team members have been making sandwiches with our ingredients behind the scenes for years,” said Tessa Stamper, Noodles’ culinary manager and registered dietician. “We also understand that people aren’t always in the mood for pasta, so we’re offering the same fresh, tasty ingredients found in our noodle dishes in the form of a sandwich.”
