No raises for Starbucks' senior management team

Seattle Post-Intelligencer: Starbucks Corp. will not be giving pay raises to its vice presidents or senior management this year, including CEO Howard Schultz, according to an internal company memo sent Aug. 26, 2008.
Last month, Starbucks reported its first-ever quarterly loss. The company also is closing more than 600 U.S. stores and has cut 1,000 nonstore jobs.
