A new fast casual dining concept featuring meals prepared using the sous-vide cooking technique is launching in London next month. Suchef will open its first location in St. Paul's on July 28, with additional openings scheduled for Farringdon in mid-September and Aldgate later in the year.
According to a company press release, meals will be prepared using the sous-vide method, in which proteins and vegetables are vacuum-packed and cooked in a low temperature controlled water bath.
Customers will choose a sous–vide cooked main item, a side item, vegetable and sauce. Sides include egg pasta, brown rice or mixed quinoa, and sauces include mango and chilli salsa or spicy tomato. Smoothies, salads, soups and bread will also be available.
Suchef will also offer its own line of hand-picked Sri Lankan teas, including Quince, Full Moon, Monsoon, Mountain Flower, Earl Grey and Peppermint.
Meals will be priced at £6 and £8, which converts to approximately $6 to $13.
