Vegan concept, Native Foods Café is taking online orders now for its Native Wellington, a meatless take on the traditional Beef Wellington, available for pick-up at all locations through Nov. 26. Most locations will also host a Thanksgiving Day feast on Nov. 27 from noon to 7 p.m.
The ready-to-bake Native Wellington consists of savory seitan, steamed kale, thinly-sliced yam, whole wheat bread, caramelized onion compote and herbed mushroom stuffing, all wrapped in puff pastry. Mushroom shallot gravy is also included. Each Native Wellington serves six to eight people and costs $39.95.

"Thanksgiving is one of our favorite times at Native Foods," Co-Owner Andrea McGinty said in a news release. "It's fun to host and feed our guests and their families in our stores and watch vegans and non-vegans alike enjoy the feast."
Additionally, the Thanksgiving buffet ($24.95 per adult, $14.95 per each child under 12) will feature Native Wellingtons, mashed potatoes, Native Stuffing, cranberry compote, polenta butternut squash terrine, cornbread with butter, green bean casserole and pumpkin pie and pumpkin cheesecake. Reservations for Native Food Cafe's Thanksgiving buffet are taken over the phone and are strongly suggested.
