National Chicken Wings Day has restaurants winging it

Buffalo Wild Wings and Wingstop restaurants are offering deals this Friday, which in case you didn't know is National Chicken Wing Day. At Buffalo Wild Wings, the deal of the day is half-priced wings. At Wingstop locations, it's free wings and thousands of dollars’ in prizes on Periscope, where users can bid on prizes by tapping the Periscope heart button. Fans who "thump” the most hearts at the end of each auction win that prize. In-store at Wingstop, customers get five free wings with any wing purchase between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.

"National Chicken Wing Day is one of our favorite days of the year and we’re looking forward to celebrating one of North America's most popular foods," said Bob Ruhland, VP of marketing, in a release.
