Moe's opens 1st Austin area location

Moe's Southwest Grill is opening its first location in the Austin, Texas area on Sept. 1 in Cedar Park, according to a news release.

"Texas is a key growth market for Moe's and with the new Cedar Park location, we are confident this move will prove successful in helping grow our base of Moe's lovers in the Austin area and in Texas," said Moe's Vice President of Franchise Development Peter Ortiz, in the release.

The new location is owned and operated by seasoned franchisee, Eric Gutierrez. He plans to open 13 more locations in Austin in the future and will host a charity fundraiser to kick of business at the Cedar Park restaurant, according to the release.
