Modern Market updates POS system

Modern Market, a farm-to-table fast casual concept in Texas and Colorado, has completed the deployment of a cloud-based POS.

Modern Market, a farm-to-table fast casual concept in Texas and Colorado, has completed the deployment of a cloud-based POS, designed by PAR, with enterprise management for multi-unit operators. Moving the POS system to the cloud with Brink POS eliminated the need for a server in each store, and streamlined operations for menu changes, marketing initiatives and decreases deployment time for new stores, Anthony Pigliacampo, co-founder of Modern Market, said in a company press release.

"The most noticeable change since the PAR deployment has been the dramatic drop — approximately 90 percent — in service calls related to the POS," he said. "Our IT team will finally have the time to focus on where our technology is going and not just on maintenance."

"The initial deployment phase included Brink's native Online and Mobile ordering platform and multiple third party integrations. The cloud-based naturemade it a seamless transition for our staff and our customers and we are looking forward to partnering with PAR on the next phase which will include Brink's native loyalty solution."

Modern Market completed its installation of Brink POS, running on PAR EverServ 500 terminals at all 15 locations, within five weeks, according to the release. Employee training time was minimal due to the ease of use of the software, and the adoption of a screen lay-out that mirrored what the employees had been using. Modern Market will be using PAR's 24x7x365 Helpdesk resources to keep its in-store teams fully supported at all times.
