McAlister's Deli hosts annual Central Park picnic

RIDGELAND, Miss. — McAlister's Deli has announced its first year as an event sponsor of the 29th annual Mississippi Picnic in Central Park. The picnic will be held June 7 from noon until 6:00 p.m. in the East Meadow of Central Park.
McAlister's will serve picnickers its Famous Sweet Tea.
For 28 years, Mississippians and New Yorkers have been meeting in New York's Central Park for the event, originally known as the Way Up North in Mississippi Picnic. The event is designed to reunite native Mississippians living in New York and current residents of the Magnolia State. More than 5,000 individuals and groups have been invited to attend.
