Mad Greens opens second Fort Collins location
April 25, 2010
Denver-based Mad Greens will open the doors to its second Fort Collins location April 27.
The 2,100-square-foot restaurant will seat 65 indoor guests and 18-24 on its newly designed patio. "We're excited to bring a second location to our loyal customers in Fort Collins," said Marley Hodgson, CEO of MAD Greens, "and to give back to this great community." To officially celebrate its grand opening, MAD Greens will offer free salads to all of its customers from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on April 27. On that day, MAD Greens also will sponsor a donation drive for Harmony House. The non-profit family visitation center trains volunteers in the Court-Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) program for children.
In return for the free salads, MAD Greens is asking customers to give back to the Harmony House by bringing in a donation of printer paper, paper towels, toilet paper, tissue, office supplies or gift certificates. Cash donations also are welcome. "MAD Greens has been a loyal supporter of Harmony House since it opened its first Fort Collins location two years ago," Maureen Carrigan, volunteer coordinator for Harmony House, said in a news release. "Plus, our whole office loves their healthy lunch choices." Mad Greens operates eight restaurants in Denver, Boulder and Fort Collins and plans to add two to three additional locations in the next 14 months. In early April, MAD Greens also rolled out an online nutritional calculator, which calculates the total number of calories in any Mad Greens creation, including any customer-created combination.
