Mad Greens opens in Fort Collins

January 30, 2008

FORT COLLINS, Colo. — Mad Greens Inspired Eats has opened its newest location, which is in Fort Collins, Colo., the company has announced.

Grand-opening festivities include "Free Salad Day," from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Jan. 31, 2008. The day will benefit Harmony House, an advocate for Fort Collins' most vulnerable children. Visitors are encouraged to donate supplies benefiting the volunteers and children involved in the non-profit. In return, they will receive a free salad.

Mad Greens' newest location will feature an updated menu layout and a freshly designed salad after Colorado's "Mad" soul, Molly Brown. The Mad Molly Brown salad features roasted pork loin, spinach, mozzarella, tomatoes, grilled sweet onions and green onions.

Fort Collins diners also can try a new, healthy fountain beverage alternative to soda. Mad Greens is part of a pilot program with Nestlé to launch its newest beverage, Sjora.

"We're excited to bring a menu full of new tastes and combinations to Fort Collins," said Marley Hodgson, co-founder of Mad Greens Inspired Eats. "Even as we grow and expand, our primary goal remains to provide healthy, flavorful options in a casual atmosphere."

In addition to its new menu items, Mad Greens has introduced new environmentally friendly bowls for in-house dinning.
