Twins Kristine Andrews and Glenn Pajarito and their spouses are opening a fast casual concept, Lola's Lumpia. The Filipino-cuisine inspired concept will open in its temporary location in June in the DeKalb Market Hall in Downtown Brooklyn at 445 Albee Square W., according to a company press release.
The menu is based on recipes from the twin's grandmother.
"New York City is so diverse in food and cultures, and we're excited to contribute to the boom that Filipino cuisine is finally experiencing, similar to Vietnamese and Thai food in recent years," Co-founder Glenn Pajarito, said in the release.
Lola's Lumpia is still looking for a permanent location.
