Local Leaf to debut NYC location in August

Local Leaf expects to bring its lettuce wraps, cups and salads to Manhattan on Aug. 10, according to an article published by Eater. Similar to its competitor Sweetgreen, the concept's focus is locally sourced produce. The concept was created and is run by Jon Mizrach (a former catering businessman), Rick Bender  (an alumni of Tabla and Jean-Georges kitchen), Solomon Choi (a 16 Handles frozen yogurt launcher in NYC) and Shaun Goodman (a certified CPA and former Google employee).

The concept will serve yogurt, oatmeal and acai bowls for breakfast, and features a Hydration Bar with juices, smoothies, teas and kombucha, according to the article.
