Capriotti's Sandwich Shop is partnering with the Las Vegas Rescue Mission to collect non-perishable food donations at all Las Vegas Capriotti's locations now through Nov. 22.
Guests can drop off donations in bins at any Las Vegas Capriotti's locations. Guests who donate five or more items in a visit will receive a free small to medium sandwich upsize.
The Capriotti's Support Center staff is also volunteering at the Mission to serve meals on Nov. 21 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. In addition to the sandwich franchise's efforts, Butterball, a longtime supplier of Capriotti's turkeys, is donating 20 turkeys to the charitable cause.
"Capriotti's is spreading the joy of the holiday by supporting our community who has given us so much support over the years," said Ashley Morris, CEO of Capriotti's, in a company press release. "Every family deserves a special Thanksgiving, so we hope through our partnership with the Las Vegas Rescue Mission, we can ensure a happy holiday for the residents of the Las Vegas community."
Capriotti's also donated 100 percent of the flagship store opening's proceeds on Nov. 1 to the Las Vegas Rescue Mission.
Last year, the Las Vegas Rescue Mission served approximately 1,800 Thanksgiving meals and distributed Thanksgiving food baskets to nearly 2,000 homes in the community.
