LA welcomes low-calorie fast casual restaurant

Hoping to take advantage of more customers demanding healthy menu options from restaurants, Skynny Kitchen opened July 9 in L.A.'s NoHo Arts District, according to La.eater.com. Owner Matt Flinn, formerly a private chef, designed each dish to be fewer than 500 calories for less than $11.

The next Skynny Kitchen is set to open in West Hollywood this fall.
