La Madeleine Country French Café is celebrating the arrival of summer by introducing a new summer salade to its repertoire of warm-weather classics. La Madeleine summer selections will be available May 30 through Sept. 4, 2012.
The Roasted Pear & Prosciutto Salade features wild field salad greens topped with roasted Bosque pears, crisp prosciutto, roasted pecans, bleu cheese crumbles and red grape tomatoes, tossed in Balsamic vinaigrette. It is available for $8.99.
“In the summer, la Madeleine takes the opportunity to create new, fun and fresh seasonal dishes to add to our line of great signature salades,” said Susan Dederen, senior director of culinary for la Madeleine. “We select seasonal fruits and vegetables and add in interesting and tasty components to provide our guests with unique flavor combinations perfect for the hot summer months.”
Additionally, la Madeleine is bringing back the following summer favorites:
Shrimp Dijonnaise Salade: Chilled, roasted shrimp in a creamy Dijonnaise with fresh dill, red peppers, mushrooms and celery, served on fresh spinach with Balsamic vinaigrette and a pesto cheese straw. $8.99;
Chicken Salade Croissant: Classic, cool chicken salade served on a flaky, fresh-baked croissant with your choice of tomato basil pesto pasta salade or salt and pepper chips. $6.99;
Individual Tarts:Selections include alemon tart or fresh fruit tart in a light, sweet pastry shell. Starting at $4.29;
