Kaldi's recalls cup sleeves due to fire hazard

Kaldi’s Coffee, based in St. Louis, has recalled about 700,000 disposable paper cup sleeves.

Kaldi’s Coffee, based in St. Louis, has recalled about 700,000 disposable paper cup sleeves after discovering they could ignite if microwaved, according to a company press release. The black paper cup sleeves have "Kaldi's Coffee" and the company logo printed on the front, and "100% Recycled Paperboard" printed on the back.

The company has received two reports of the cup sleeves catching fire when heated in the microwave. No injuries have been reported, according to the release.
