Johnny Rockets opens first unit in Bolivia

Johnny Rockets now has a presence in five South American countries.

Johnny Rockets will open its first restaurant in Bolivia in Ventura Mall in Santa Cruz.

The Daher Group, which owns the new restaurant, plans to expand in Bolivia over the next five years, including additional locations in Santa Cruz and La Paz.

"Until recent years, Bolivian residents did not have access to the wide variety of international restaurant concepts that other South American countries have experienced over the last few decades. With more exposure to international concepts and brands, we have found that residents have embraced the Americana culture, see value in our premium menu offerings and are requesting brands like ours to come to the country," Scott Chorna, SVP of International Development for Johnny Rockets, said in a company press release.  "The Daher Group's vast experience in bringing successful businesses to Bolivia makes them the ideal partner to open Johnny Rockets in Santa Cruz. Its location within Ventura Mall is ideal to serve guests looking for an entertaining and best-in-class dining experience."

Johnny Rockets currently has 13 restaurants open in South America, and plans to open four to five more by the end of the year.

With the addition of Bolivia, Johnny Rockets will now have a presence in five South American countries.
