JJ's Red Hots celebrates National Hot Dog Day with $2 dog

July 17, 2017

On July 19, JJ's Red Hots will celebrate National Hot Dog Day by offering a new hot dog, The National, for $2, according to a press release.

"We'll treat National Hot Dog like we do every day, as if the hot dog ruled the world," JJ's proprietor Jon Luther said in the release. "We like to experiment beyond the traditional favorites but on the day when the rest of the world wakes up, we'll put our best foot forward with a perfect combination of the most popular toppings and specially price it to appeal to all."

The new menu item will feature three of the concept's most popular toppings: mustard, chili and onions, according to the release.
