Jersey Mike's raises record $7.3M for charities across country

April 5, 2019

Jersey Mike’s Subs said it raised a company record of $7.3 million to help charities around the country during the March Month of Giving, raising more than $1 million more than the year-ago fundraising round.

"I would like to thank our extraordinary customers, franchise owners, team members and charity partners who helped us raise the most ever during Jersey Mike’s Ninth Annual Month of Giving in March," Peter Cancro, founder and CEO said in the announcement.

"Our mission statement has always been focused on making a difference in people’s lives, and the record-setting amount raised in March will go a long way toward supporting the good work of our local partner charities."

Customers during the month of March were invited to come into their local Jersey Mike’s locations and donate to the local charity of their choice. On the company’s final Day of Giving, more than 1,500 of the company’s locations donated 100 percent of their sales proceeds to charity. Those charities include a range of hospitals, schools, food banks, youth organizations and other entities.

The chain has raised more than $41 million for charity since 2010 and distributed more than 2 million free sub sandwiches.
