Jazzman’s Café and Bakery is engaging in the fight to end childhood hunger and is challenging its guests to do the same.
Starting this week, Jazzman’s is contributing a portion of proceeds from the sale of select coffee and tumblers to the Sodexo Foundation to support Backpack Food Programs, part of Sodexo’s STOP Hunger Initiative.
Jazzman’s will donate 50 cents per pound of featured coffee and one dollar per STOP Hunger logoed tumbler to the cause through May 2011.
The featured coffees for winter and spring are the Jazzman’s Noteworthy Coffee Sumatra Arinagata and the seasonal blend Amaretto. Tumblers and coffee can be purchased at all 200-plus Jazzman’s Café and Bakery locations nationwide.
The Sodexo Foundation is the anti-hunger charitable arm of Sodexo. The Backpack Food Program provides at-risk students of Sodexo-partnered school districts non-perishable meals for times that free or reduced price meals at school aren’t available, typically over a weekend or vacation period.
