September 12, 2011

Jamba Juice Company is partnering up with "Diet Diva" Tara Gidus, a registered dietician/nutritionist and nationally recognized expert in nutrition and fitness, to promote healthier choices for customers.

Throughout the fall, customers can visit JambaJuice.com to see a variety of sample menus created by Gidus featuring better-for-you specialty beverage and food products from Jamba Juice. Consumers can check out chats and blogs from Gidus.

"Eating healthy, staying active and maximizing one's overall wellness potential are lifestyle choices that both Jamba Juice and I support," said Gidus. "It is a pleasure working with a brand as influential as Jamba Juice to remind people that being healthy can still be fun."

Susan Shields, senior vice president and CMO of Jamba Juice Company, said that adding Gidus to the Jamba brand shows the chain's commitment to simplifying healthy eating.

"With the holidays upon us, we want to make sure people don't lose track of the healthy food and activity choices that they committed to over the summer," Shields said. "Our lineup of better-for-you products also reinforces Jamba as a one-stop destination for your food and nutritional needs all day long."

For the fall, Jamba Juice has rolled out a Pumpkin Smash smoothie for a limited time featuring real pumpkin and nutmeg and cinnamon spices blended with frozen yogurt. The item is available in 16-ounce and Original sizes.

Also, from Sept. 14-27, Jamba Juice is offering a $2 deal for slow cooked, steel-cut oatmeal, Fruit and Veggie or All Fruit Smoothies, and a $1 deal on baked goods with the purchase of any drink.
