Jamba Juice swipes for charity

August 25, 2010

Jamba Juice has announced the launch of “Sip to Support,” a 10 percent give-back swipe card fundraising program, as part of the company's commitment to building healthy communities.

Jamba healthy communities focus on supporting education, wellness, nutrition and fitness by inspiring healthier schools, neighborhoods and activities.

"This is an exciting program and an important part of Jamba's larger commitment to supporting healthier communities," said James D. White, chairman, president, and CEO of Jamba Juice. "Through our innovative giving back programs and push for more active lifestyles, coupled with our better-for-you portfolio of great tasting product offerings, Jamba Juice is providing our customers the ability to feel good about every purchase they make."

The Sip to Support program builds on Jamba's longtime commitment to support schools and community organizations that encourage health and wellness. Just in time for back to school fundraising drives, Sip to Support provides a year-round fundraising tool for schools and community organizations to raise valuable resources for their local priorities.

When organizations sign up to participate in the program, Jamba issues them swipe cards, which they in turn distribute to their supporters. Every time a supporter uses their swipe card for a Jamba Juice purchase, Jamba Juice gives 10 percent of the purchase back to the participating organization. The more supporters use the swipe cards, the more Jamba Juice donates back to the community.

Sip to Support program registration and information can be found on www.jambajuice.com.
