Jamba Juice intros line of frozen yogurt

Jamba Juice Company has launched its signature line of Whirl’ns Frozen Yogurt, available in 22 select Northern California locations starting today.

“This newest and very significant addition to our menu provides a treat option for customers seeking a late afternoon or evening indulgence that is refreshingly different and great tasting,” said Susan Shields, chief marketing officer, Jamba Juice Company. “The product line is an excellent fit with the Jamba brand — each signature frozen yogurt offering is made-to-order with simple, straightforward ingredients that are nutritious and help to support a healthy and active lifestyle.”

Jamba Juice leveraged their product innovation and blending expertise to create a platform that provides a meaningful point of difference to customers within the growing premium segment of the frozen yogurt category.

“This introduction is part of our overall strategy to introduce differentiated and proprietary new products to meet different usage occasions as we evolve to become a leading health and wellness brand,” said James D. White chairman, president, and CEO, Jamba Juice Company.

White was recently honored by the San Francisco Business Times as the“Most Admired CEO” of a public company under $500 Million. He was one of 13 executives recognized at a gala awards ceremony held by the publication at the Hilton San Francisco Union Square.

White was recognized for his standout leadership of the brand throughout the past two years. His accomplishments have included the development and execution of a major restructuring plan designed to enhance the company’s results.  Among the initiatives is the sale of up to 150 company-owned stores to franchise operators, expansion into new markets and licensing deals that have allowed Jamba to expand its footprint outside of store locations with Jamba-branded products. Jamba Juice also recently experienced its fifth sequential quarter over quarter improvement in same-store sales.

Food and beverage initiatives have included the addition of frozen smoothie bars and at-home smoothie kits, new better-for-you products such as handcrafted Steel-Cut Oatmeal, a variety of Grab-n-Go lunch options including salads, wraps and California Flatbreads, and the addition of organic Hot Blends beverages such as brewed-by-the-cup organic coffee and tea.

The latest announcement of Whirl’ns Frozen Yogurt represents a continuation of Jamba’s transformation into a leading specialty food and beverage destination.
