December 19, 2010

Jimmy John's restaurants in nine Illinois counties are being investigated for salmonella contamination. According to a story in The Examiner, the contamination occurred for 46 guests who ordered alfalfa sprouts on their sandwiches.

The Illinois Department of Health said the alfalfa sprouts’ producers and suppliers' facilities are being tested and investigated at this time.

Those contaminated guests reportedly ate at the restaurant as far back as Nov. 1.
