Hernandez named Daphne's Greek Cafe VP of operations

SAN DIEGO, Calif. — Daphne's Greek Cafe has named Greg Hernandez vice president of operations, the company has announced. Hernandez will be responsible for managing the chain's operations, marketing and food and beverage departments, and will report to president Steve Fricker. With more than 20 years of industry experience, Hernandez joins the chain from Hamlet (formerly known as Hamburger Hamlet) restaurants, where he was executive vice president of operations. In that position, he managed the chain's operations and oversaw guest relations and strategic market initiatives. Prior to Hamlet, Hernandez served 13 years as vice president of operations at Ruby's Diner, where he led growth initiatives to take the company from eight restaurants in California to 39 locations throughout California, Washington, Colorado, Pennsylvania and Hawaii.
