Habit Burger hosts charity fundraisers to mark opening

The Habit Burger Grill is opening its second Walnut Creek, Calif., location on Oct. 31 at 1504 Geary Rd. off of Main Street.

To mark the occasion, Habit Burger will host three pre-events with charity tie-ins. On Oct. 28, the restaurant be open from noon to 2 p.m. and will donate 100 percent of all proceeds from those two hours to MDA. The Habit will re-open from 5-7 p.m. and will donate proceeds to the Contra Costa Food Bank.

On Oct. 29, Habit Burger will be open from noon to 2 p.m. with all proceeds benefiting the Contra Costa Humane Society.

"We are excited to continue our growth in the East Bay with our second Habit here in Walnut Creek," said Russ Bendel, president and CEO of Habit Restaurants LLC. "Our newest location here will give even more people a new 'Habit' worth repeating."

The Irvine, Calif.-based concept includes more than 61 locations in California and Arizona. The first Walnut Creek location opened in 2010.
