GRILLiT adds endocrinologist to help create healthy menu

GRILLiT, a Miami-based, fast casual concept focused on serving healthy menu items, has retained Dr. Paul Aoun to serve as senior medical adviser to its board of directors. Aoun, an endocrinologist specializing in the prevention and treatment of diabetes, thyroid and other metabolic and endocrine condition, will help assist with creating new healthy menu item options, according to a company press release.

"The company has retained Dr. Aoun as part of our vision and campaign to promote a healthy living lifestyle," said GRILLiT's CEO Ghazi Hajj. "We feel extremely fortunate to have Dr. Aoun's services as we continue to provide a great tasting, yet extremely healthy, array of menu choices. I believe that emphasizing the healthy choice aspect is a key ingredient to attracting more and more customers, as well as new master franchisors and franchisees."

Aoun currently serves as a clinical endocrinologist in South Florida and is an Affiliate Assistant Professor of the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine.
