WATERBURY, Vt. — Green Mountain Coffee Roasters Inc., a specialty coffee roaster based in Waterbury, Vt., will celebrate its 25th birthday by releasing a special Silver Celebration Blend on May 15. The new coffee is Fair Trade Certified and has been described as "a tribute to classic coffee growing regions around the world."
According to a news release, the blend was created specifically to honor the relationships -- old and new.
Silver Celebration Blend is an inspired combination of beans grown in Mexico, Colombia and Rwanda. All of the farmers who contributed to this memorable blend were paid a Fair Trade Certified price for their harvest, the release said.
Silver Celebration Blend joins Raspberry Rhapsody, a new flavored coffee, as a limited edition seasonal offering beginning May 15. Both coffees are available in 12-oz. packages ground or whole bean, 2.2 oz. packages in cases of 50, and in K-Cups for use in Keurig Single-Cup Brewers.
