Give Water, Saxbys help benefit BBBS

November 8, 2010

Big Brothers Big Sisters Southeastern Pennsylvania (BBBS SEPA), in partnership with Saxbys Coffee, has announced a campaign to raise money through the sale of GIVE Water in Saxbys locations across the country.

BBBS, one of our nation's largest and most experienced youth mentoring organizations, was chosen as the exclusive charity to receive 10 cents for every blue bottle of GIVE Water Saxbys sells. The campaign began Monday, October 25th at 11:30 a.m. with a kick-off event at Saxbys Coffee in Liberty Place at 16th and Chestnut Streets in Philadelphia, PA.

Saxbys Coffee's CEO, Nick Bayer, is currently a volunteer mentor ("Big Brother") with BBBS SEPA.

"Big Brothers Big Sisters is an incredible organization that I have had the pleasure of working with for seven years in the form of a Big Brother. I believe personally and deeply in the Agency's cause and have seen the positive effects on the youth of America first hand. We are committed to help fundraise and increase awareness towards recruitment of additional Big Brothers and Sisters," Bayer said.

Following the kick-off in Philadelphia, the campaign will roll out to other Saxbys Coffee locations, including those in Atlanta, Dallas, Washington, D.C., Las Vegas and Ohio, where local shops will partner with the BBBS agency in their region.

"We are excited to launch this long-term fundraising campaign here in Philadelphia," said Marlene L. Olshan, CEO of BBBS SEPA. "Volunteers like Nick, who understand our need for both mentors and funding, are an enormous asset to BBBS and our community."
