Miami-based Giardino Gourmet Salads is stepping out of South Florida with a three-unit franchise deal for the Nashville, Tennessee market.
The Osman family, previous owners of Subway restaurants in various cities in Florida and Tennessee, will open these over the span of the next three years starting in 2015.
"We are thrilled that our concept has garnered interest from successful restaurant owners of other established brands," said Julio Ramirez, Giardino board member, in a company press release. "The Osmans have over 20 years of experience in owning and operating restaurants and will be valuable members of the Giardino family as we expand the brand beyond South Florida."
Over the past 10 years, Giardino has grown to 10 restaurants in various areas of Dade and Broward County: Blue Lagoon, Brickell, Coral Gables, Doral, Downtown Miami, Kendall, Miramar, South Miami, Miami Lakes and Palmetto Bay, which opened in December. In 2015, at least two more restaurants will open in South Florida: one in Weston and one in the new development of Downtown Doral.
