German Doner Kebab seeking franchisees

March 7, 2017

Kebabs used to be viewed by some as an unhealthy, greasy snack, but German Doner Kebab has sought to combat that image since its founding in 1989.

Originally from Germany, the concept opened in the U.K. last year and now plans to launch in Ireland and is seeking multi-store partners.

"We came across German Doner Kebab on a business trip to Dubai just over four years ago, and were blown away with the quality it provided, so decided to investigate the company further," GDK UK CEO Imran Sayeed said in a press release. "We visited the HQ in Dubai and discovered they had over 40 stores globally. We are sure the public in Northern Ireland are going to love the product as much as we do."

GDK has 45 locations, has signed over 80 franchise agreements and is looking for single and multi-unit franchisees, according to the release.
