A 6,600-square-foot Fuddruckers restaurant opened today in Algonquin, Ill., a northwest suburb of Chicago. Luby's Inc., the chain's parent company, operates the newly-designed unit, located at 1900 S. Randall Road in the Algonquin Commons lifestyle center.
The restaurant, according to a company press release, will serve as the showcase for Fuddruckers' new interior scheme. While paying homage to the chain's signature, roadhouse look, the refreshed design caters to today's more sophisticated tastes, said Luby's COO Peter Tropoli.
A highlight of the venue — and an unusual offering for most Fuddruckers restaurants — will be a full service bar featuring a menu of beer, wine, cocktails and specialty drinks, including a variety of margaritas, mojitos, pina coladas and sangrias. A selection of appetizers also appears on the menu, including nachos, popcorn and coconut shrimp, quesadillas and frickles, Tropoli said.
