Freshii expands its Walgreen's locations to Big Apple

Freshii has continued its partnership with Walgreens, opening a unit inside Walgreen's New York City location in Union Square, according to a press release. This collaboration also includes Freshii locations inside Walgreens in Miami, Boston and Chicago. Veteran Freshii franchisee and operator Jon Blob now owns three Freshii locations and plans to make his newest unit a success.

"My belief in the Freshii mission, my passion for health and wellness and Freshii's strong positioning within the competitive restaurant industry made me want to be a part of the Freshii brand," Blob said in the release. "It was an easy decision as few places offer the population density of New York City. Freshii has a unique and widespread offering for anyone focused on health and wellness. The breadth of our menu eliminates the veto vote as everyone can come to Freshii and find something tasty, healthy and energizing."

The five-day grand opening celebration will end July 14 with all entrees going for $5 during the event.
