Freebirds World Burrito launches online ordering
November 5, 2006
COLLEGE STATION, Texas — Freebirds World Burrito announced the launch of its new online order service.
According to a news release, Freebirds created an online ordering system that's user friendly. Customers interested in ordering online simply go to Freebirds.com then click "Feed Me."
This page will navigate customers to an area where they can submit an order or create an online profile. By creating a profile, the customer can save their orders for re-ordering at a later date.
Following the same routine as in-store purchases, the Freebirds online ordering engine will ask the customer to select an item on the menu page. Once the menu item is selected, customers choose their options, such as rice, cheese, beans, meat, sauces, veggies and extras. When the order is complete, a summary page will appear with all chosen items and ingredients and a total price. Upon submission, an order confirmation e-mail is sent to the customer and to the appropriate Freebirds store. A Freebirds crew member calls to confirm each order with the time it will be ready for pick up.
"With the phenomenal increase in the number of households and businesses now connected to the Internet, an online ordering system was a no-brainer," said Alan Hixon, chief operating officer of Freebirds World Burrito. "Our customers are experiencing the benefits of online ordering, especially during their rushed lunch times, and we are able to utilize better, faster and more efficient use of our resources resulting in improved customer service and satisfaction."
Freebirds World Burrito currently has 15,797 customers in its online ordering database and the company has received nearly 500 online orders since the new system went online Oct. 20.
