Freebirds intros gourmet salads

COLLEGE STATION, Texas — Freebirds World Burritos has announced the launch of a new line of gourmet salads, created by chef Taylor Boudreaux of Tavistock Restaurants flagship California Café.
 
Dubbed F-Bomb Salads, Boudreaux combined a mixture of flavors that resulted in two fresh salads: chicken salad with ancho dressing and steak salad with roasted tomatillo dressing.
 
The chicken salad features marinated chicken, romaine lettuce, roasted corn salsa, queso fresco, roasted jalapenos, tortilla strips and lime wedges, topped with an ancho dressing. The steak salad is a mixture of grilled steak, romaine, Napa cabbage, roasted poblano salsa, tomatoes, pepper jack cheese and tortilla strips, topped with roasted tomatillo dressing.
