Former Papa John's president buys 16 Buffalo Wild Wings

A large franchisee of Buffalo Wild Wings Grill & Bar has sold its 16 restaurants in central Indiana to Consolidated Wings, a franchise group led by the former president of the Papa John's pizza chain.

Indianapolis-based Franchisee Group sold the stores for an undisclosed amount to Greenwich, Conn.-based Consolidated Wings Investment, according to the Indianapolis Business Journal.

Peter Watson, founder of the Franchisee Group, grew the company to 16 restaurants with an annual revenue of $36 million.

Dan Holland, the president of Louisville-based Papa Johns International Inc. from 1989 to 1995, and Bill Ogden, founder and managing director of Granite Capital Partners LLC in Greenwich, own Consolidated Wings.
