First Coney Beach opens in Tulsa

TULSA, Okla. — Coney Beach, a retro, beach-inspired, gourmet hot dog and hamburger restaurant and the third fast-casual concept from Beautiful Brands International, has opened in Tulsa, Okla.

Coney Beach's menu features all beef natural casing hot dogs, gourmet Black Angus hamburgers, and polish sausages. Fresh buns, loaded fries, chili, and all the trimmings accent the menu to make a variety of coneys and burgers. Rounding out the selections is an ice-cold beverage bar with old-fashioned bottled sodas and unique beers from the region as well as classic ice cream floats and shakes.

"There's no doubt the market is ripe for a gourmet hot dog and burger restaurant," said Beautiful Brands founder, president and chief executive officer David Rutkauskas. "Franchisees and area developers see the excellent opportunity in this increasingly strong category."

Even before Coney Beach debuted, Rutkauskas had signed the restaurant's first two franchisees with development beginning in Tulsa and Jackson, Miss., with other target areas of St. Louis; Kansas City, Kan.; Dallas; Houston; Oklahoma City; Birmingham, Ala.; Atlanta; Little Rock, Ark.; Omaha, Neb.; and Chicago.
