Firehouse Subs beats the heat with H20 for Heroes fundraiser

Firehouse Subs will host its sixth annual H20 for Heroes fundraiser on August 5. The event was first created by Phoenix-area franchisees Jerry and Windy Griffin, according to a press release. All Firehouse Subs units will give a free medium sub to any guest who donates an unopened, 24-pack of bottled water to support local first responders operating in sweltering heat.

"We hear from so many departments that don't have the additional money to purchase bottled water, and the donations they receive from our guests assist them in a variety of emergency situations," Windy Griffin said in the release. "From hydrating firefighters in the scorching summer heat to keeping K9 officers cool on patrol, this water is a life-saving tool."
