Fazoli's honored Bob Sirkis, who owns the Fazoli's of Valdosta, Georgia, as its Franchisee of the Year. According to a news release, he achieved 7.8 percent sales growth, with an annual guest increase of 8.4 percent. He and wife, Kendall, are 15-year franchise partners and he previously served in the late 1980s as vice president of new concept development at Fazoli's founding parent company.

The couple increased their restaurant's sales by 52 percent over the last five years and will open an additional location in Dothan, Alabama in 2017. Earlier this year, Bob Sirkis was named one of CNBC's 50 Big Franchise Success Stories, according to a news release.

"We are proud to honor Bob Sirkis for his strong restaurant performance and commitment to the Fazoli's brand," said Carl Howard, president and chief executive officer of Fazoli's in a news release. "Bob and his team's passion for operational excellence is a shining example of the strength of the Fazoli's business model."

Additionally, Senior General Manager of Fazoli's corporately owned location in Edwardsville, Illinois, Kim Fraser, was named General Manager of the Year for her consistency in delivering strong sales results. Jonathan Earl of FazWest, LLC, in Springfield, MO, was recognized for his contributions to one of the company's top-performing franchised locations and Tyson Foods was named Supplier of the Year.
