TAYLORS, S.C. — Thirty-two unit Fatz Cafe is rolling out a Prime Time Weekends menu that adds two new appetizers, three entrees and a dessert. According to a news release, the menu items are available on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays only.
The new appetizers include the Red, White & Green Tomato Appetizer Salad, as well as the Fried Green Tomatoes and Stone-ground Cheese Grits.
The new entrees include: Blackened Mahi Mahi & Grilled Veggie Skewers (basted with a lemon Worcestershire butter and served on a bed of rice); Fatz Towering Pork Chop (slow-cooked pork shank paired with red-skinned mashed potatoes, tomato sauce and grilled asparagus); and TC's Hard Cider Sirloin (marinated 48 hours and garnished with sautéed mushrooms).
The new High Peanut Butter Pie is made with crunchy peanut butter, a chocolate cookie crumb crust, and it's topped with cocoa milk chocolate icing and chunks of Reese's Peanut Butter Cups.
"Our goal is to offer a variety of menu items that satisfy any dining experience," said Richie Cannon, vice president of operations for Cafe Enterprises, parent company of Fatz Cafe. "The Prime Time Weekends menu features sophisticated options, which allow our guests to enjoy a special occasion such as an intimate dinner for two, a birthday celebration or a fun night out on the town."
