Hershey, Penn., will soon be home to a Chipotle Mexican Grill, but it took months of public discussion before the chain received the go-ahead. The Derry Township Supervisors voted almost unanimously Tuesday to approve a zoning amendment that would allow fast casual restaurants to open in the area. The township's former zoning had prohibited them, according to Penlive.com, but the new amendment lifts that ban.
Town supervisors said the amendment is part of the township's efforts to revitalize the downtown area with shops and restaurants and that welcoming Chipotle was an important first step.
