It's hosting a ceremonial “first roast” Thursday at the headquarters located at 1912 Farmer Brothers Drive. Local community leaders will join CEO Mike Keown and company executives at the event; private tours of the headquarters and roasting plant will follow.
"We're excited to begin the next chapter in our company's growth from our beautiful new home in northern Texas,” Keown said in the release. "We anticipate bringing about 225 new jobs to the area, and we're looking forward to becoming an integral part of Northlake and the surrounding north Texas region."
The 538,000-square-foot building will roast 24 to 28 million pounds of coffee annually with the capacity for significant growth in the future, according to the release.
