ExaDigm Inc. launched the XD2000, the next generation of the Mate Plus point-of-sale terminals. According to a news release, its unique modular format and interchangeable modems support a wide range of industries.
Featuring a fully modular design and PC-based Linux operating system, the XD2000 provides a single terminal platform that offers multiple connectivity options, easy software upgrades and enhancement. The news release stated the XD2000 is based on the same versatile design concept as its predecessor, the Mate Plus, which features the ability for the terminal to be equally efficient as a desktop unit or as a hand-held, mobile device.
"The XD2000 represents the next generation in point-of-sale terminals and builds on the great strengths of its predecessor, the Mate Plus," said Mike Mulcahy, president and COO of ExaDigm. "The XD2000 was built as fully functionality IP appliance and offers the most advanced feature sets that meet the technology and functionality requirements of users in a diverse range of business environments needing a single terminal that can deliver both wired and wireless payment capabilities."
