El Fenix to offer free Sopapillas as Halloween treats

To celebrate Halloween, El Fenix announced guests will receive a free pumpkin- or ghost-shaped sopapilla with the purchase of an entrée.

To celebrate Halloween, El Fenix announced guests will receive a free pumpkin- or ghost-shaped sopapilla with the purchase of an entrée. The offer is valid Oct. 29 through Nov. 2, one per person per visit, dine-in only.

The orange-and-white, sugar-covered sopapillas will be served at the conclusion of each meal at all El Fenix restaurants, according to a company press release.

The deep-fried sopapilla is a popular Mexican pastry, similar to a donut. It’s homemade and hand-rolled at every El Fenix restaurant.

There are 22 El Fenix restaurants located throughout North Texas and at WinStar World Casino & Resort.
