Dickey's operator debuts second Georgia location

Native Texan and Dickey's Barbecue Pit operator Shannon Skains will open his second location in Buford Georgia, according to a press release.

"We are looking forward to the opportunity to serve more of the community with our second location," Skains said. "Barbecue is an underdeveloped segment in the area and we are proud to grow this Texas brand in Georgia."

Skains has a long history in the restaurant industry and runs his Dickey's locations with his partner and wife, Asia. The duo plans to open more locations in the future, according to the release. 

"Dickey's Barbecue Pit has been family owned and operated since 1941 and we consider each of our owners as a part of our family," Laura Rea Dickey, CEO of Dickey's Barbecue Restaurants, Inc., said in the release. "We are always proud when our current owners decide to invest more in us and our brand to open new locations in their communities."
