Dickey’s Barbecue plans digital loyalty program launch

Digital loyalty startup Spendgo has signed an agreement with Dickey’s Barbecue Restaurants to scale its loyalty program across the brands’ 400-plus franchise locations. The program is scheduled to begin rolling out by the middle of this summer. According to a news release, the program will be fully branded for Dickey’s Barbecue, featuring images of its signature offerings on Spendgo touchscreens placed at the POS.

Customers who input their phone numbers on the interactive display will immediately start earning rewards and personalized offers. A separate kiosk tablet station will also be set up in each store incentivizing customers who complete an online Spendgo profile with bonus points.

“In today’s fast paced, quick serve environment, creating a relevant brand takes innovation,” Dickey’s CEO Roland Dickey Jr. said in the release. “What we do right is great barbecue and that will never change. Our goal is to turn all of our guests into loyal brand champions through a state-of-the-art national loyalty program. Based off of positive feedback from our trusted franchise owners, Spendgo was an immediate and natural partner.”
