Dickey's Barbecue Pit adds research and development chef

Dickey's Barbecue Pit has added Phil Butler as its research and development chef, according to a press release. Butler, who has worked in the restaurant industry since he was 13 years old, said he is excited to share his knowledge and passion for slow-smoked barbecue with the Dickey's team.

"The Dickey's Barbecue Pit family is proud to welcome Phil as our new research and development chef," CEO Laura Rea Dickey, said in the release. "With his years of experience, we look forward to the new and innovative ideas he has to take the Dickey's brand to an even higher standard than we have today."

Dickey's Barbecue Pit was founded in 1941, and has expanded to more than 550 locations.
