Daphne's California Greek joins cancer fight

September 18, 2013

Daphne's California Greek has joined forces with the American Cancer Society to support its Relay For Life event, an annual, overnight community fundraiser held in cities across the country. On Sept. 21, guests who bring an official American Cancer Society flyer to any of Daphne's 52 locations in California, Arizona and Colorado will receive 20 percent of their net purchase donated to the American Cancer Society.

"We are proud to partner with the American Cancer Society on this level and hope that our fans, their friends and families will join us in our mutual quest to help in the fight to end cancer," said Bill Trefethen, CEO, Daphne's California Greek.

The promotion comes during the Society's 100th year of working to finish the fight by providing free cancer information; offering cancer research grants; advocating for legislation to help cancer patients and supporting free patient-caregiver programs for the public.

Daphne's California Greek has recently enhanced its menu to feature a blend of California and Greek flavors in a variety of dishes ranging from traditional-style Gyros sandwiches to a delicious California Greek Salad, Trefethen said. The new menu also includes specialty salads, flatbread pizzas, pita sandwiches, and seafood complemented with flavorful sides such as a spicy Fire Feta dip, roasted veggies and savory tabouli.
