Last week, the 18 Dallas-Fort Worth Genghis Grill units banded together to deliver some extra Christmas spirit to area children. The restaurants raised more than 750 toys for its annual Toys for Tots Drive, which is the biggest toy donation in the chain’s history.
Each of the participating Genghis Grill locations included a donation box for customers to drop off toys appropriate for children through age 12.
"With Toys for Tots, we've seen the power of many individuals working toward a common goal – making Christmas happier for hundreds of local children. From bikes, to gaming systems, to footballs, and many other variations of toys and this year we had our biggest toy donation/collection ever. This really made a big difference for a lot of kids," said Ron Parikh, chief marketing officer of Genghis Grill Franchise Concepts LP.
Additionally, to usher in the holiday season, Genghis Grill donated 15 percent of sales from its inaugural social media-driven music tour to the North Texas Food Bank.
